The scrolling foliate openwork panel set throughout with vari-shaped garnets and rose-cut pastes, suspending a central pear shaped garnet single stone in foliate border between rose-cut paste single stone drops, in silver mount with gilded reverse and foiled settings, later brooch fitting.

A Georgian, Garnet, Enamel and Seed Pearl Brooch,
containing one rectangular cabochon cut garnet measuring approximately 16.69 x 8.82 mm centered on a white enamel plaque surrounded by a row of seed pearls against a blue enamel background within a curvilinear edged frame.
The reverse engraved “Thomas Seddon Born Feb 5th 1771 Married Feb 20th 1821 -A.H.-“.

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, slgiht discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
One garnet appears replacement.
One garnet is deficient.
Garnets are foil back and appear a vibrant, deep medium purplish red hue.
Small surmount loop to one end, believed later addition, soft solder visible.
